Missing in Action.

Yep in case you haven't noticed...I haven't written since who knows! I could just say, I haven't had any time, but that's would just be an excuse for "I am just too darn lazy". Anywho, since I last wrote Claire was just three months. Well tomorrow she will be six months. I know, it seems like yesterday she popped out of my whoo-ha. Since then she has started on cereal and solids, which she is tolerating well. I can tell she loves food! Also, she's exclusively formula fed since four months...and boy it is expensive, next time I will think about nursing a little longer. She can roll over, answers to her name(especially if it's her mama), she's also starting to have a little stranger anxiety, she can sit-up assisted and goos and gah's all day. She's gonna be a talker just like her Tia's.

Mommy Guilt

We just came from Las Vegas, and no Claire didn't go with us. It was more of an educational/business trip. Well... we did see LE RÊVE at The Wynn, (hey we had to throw a little fun in there). I signed up for a photography workshop and also WPPI (a HUGE Photography convention). At the time it sounded like a good idea but the closer we got to the date, the more nervous and guilty I felt. Yes, we could of taken her and was very close to, but the thought of the cigarette smoke and her being taken out of her/my comfort zone made me cringe. My mom and sisters were more than happy to babysit.

This is the first time we go anywhere without Claire but everytime we go to Vegas, we budget so we can do a little shopping, because it sucks being broke on a (kinda) vacation ha! We went to The Fashion Show Mall and of course I did a little shopping for my little mamacita (like she needs anymore of anything).
Retail therapy helped me ease my mind a little.

My cousin told me about Janie & Jack, soo I had to check it out.

I saw this swimsuit & matching swim cap, I knew I had to get it. The only downside is, it was not on sale and it was kinda expensive. This little outfit deserves a photoshoot.

.

Claire has sensitive skin and was developing a slight rash before I left, so I picked up the Angel Baby Bottom Balm while I was in Vegas in case it didn't get better when I got back.

Nope this isn't another diaper bag...but another camera bag. Yes, I also have a camera bag obsession. I got this at WPPI. I am pretty good at not buying things I don't need but for some reason I love bags that look don't like a dead giveaway for a diaper, camera, or school bag.

What's in my Diaper Bag - Claire 12 weeks/3 months old

Claire is 12 weeks old. I been told the older she gets, the less stuff I will be carrying around. Can't wait! These days it seems like my arm is going to fall off or my stroller is gonna tip over.

1. Timi & Leslie "Charlie" Diaper Bag in Tan- It's soo big & roomy, everything fits but it can get heavy.
2. JJ Cole Collection Diaper & Wipes Pod in Mixed Leaf- Diapers, wipes, rash cream & matching diaper pad (which I never use) are inside.
3. Aden + Anais Swaddle Wraps in Safari Friends. I use it as a light-weight blanket, nursing cover, spit/burp rag. ...Love them!
4. Emfamil Gentle Ease 2oz Nursettes. They are ready & easy, especially when we are out and about. I just pour into a bottle and it's ready to serve.
5. Carters Cupcake Bib- I usually carry tons of bibs but this is one of my favorites. It so darn cute!
6. Aden + Anais Burp Bib- I love it. It doubles as a cute bib and a spit rag.
7. Ah Goo Baby "The Plush Pad" in Bubbles Cola- LOVE it, especially when we are out and she needs a diaper change.
8. Magazine- Right now I have the Feburary issue of In Style. I usually carry a magazine when I go to my parents house, since it seems like I am not allow to hold Claire while I am there. I take out my reading material while my family flips a coin to see who is going to hold her next.
9. Avent Bottles- I am nursing, but I am supplementing more with formula lately. I usually carry some with water and some empty.
10. Munchkin Diaper Bag Dispenser- For stinky diapers
11. Johnson & Johnson Baby Hand & Face Wipes -I like them, but I noticed they give Claire a rash. Now I use them to wipe her hands. Once I finish them up, I am going to switch to Mustela.
12. Munchkin Pacifier Wipes- To wipe down, bottle nipples, rattles/toys, pacifiers.
13. Innobaby Formula Dispenser- It has 5 compartments. I am not going to run out of food for Claire!
14. Wet Ones- I have packets and packets everywhere. I am becoming a germaphobe.

Not pictured: (Yes I carry more stuff!) Boogie wipes, nose aspirator, couple outfits, pacifier pod, make-up bag and other stuff I can't remember.

Jason Wu for Target

Today, Target released the Jason Wu Collection. Me and my friend Crystal woke up extra early to see if we can snatch a couple things on our wishlists. We got there before opening with a pit stop at Panera. I did managed to pick up the clutch I wanted from my Feburary wishlist and a long-sleeve sheer blouse in Blush Dots. The Collection sold out literally in 10 minutes. Crazy!

The only down fall is, some people were throwing everything they found into their carts, handbags (couple of the same style), clothing (not caring what size they were), accessories. Some people were also stealing items from other people's carts. How rude! I will probably be seeing some of these items on ebay, triple the price. ha!

January Obsessions

The things I have been obesessing about:

Mustela Facial Cleansing Wipes

I use these to freshen her up. They don't give her a rash and they smell great. The only downfall is that they are pricey for 25 wipes. Hmmmm...I wonder if there is a coupon out there. They also have a baby body spray, at first I giggled but now I am considering getting it if it smells as good as the wipes.

Orly- Sweet Peacock

I not a big fan of blue nail polish but I LOVE this blue. It looks like blue foil. It was on clearance with additional % off at Sally Beauty Supply. When I had it on my nails I couldn't stop looking at them.

Ah Goo Baby: The Plush Pad

I love LOVE it! It's my changing table on the go. I just roll it up and stick it in my diaper bag. It's soo soft and the slip cover is machine washable.

EOS Lip Balm

It's been windy in my neck of the woods and it helps my lips from getting chapped. They are soo darn cute and they smell delicious! I actually have 4 different flavors (Wal-mart needs to stop putting them near the checkout counter). My favorite is the Honeysuckle Honeydew

What to Expect: The First Year

As a first-time mom, sometimes I still don't know what the heck I am doing. So when I am confused or have a concern, I just look it up and it puts my mind to ease.

Mommy Wishlist for February

I have a couple things I have been "eye"ing this month

Mud Pie Heart Bloomers- They look super cute! I ordered them today and I cannot wait to photograph Claire in these!

I already have two baby carriers, The Moby Wrap & The Ergo Baby Carrier and I really like them both, but sometimes when I am in a hurry it takes me forever to figure them out...so I figure if I get a baby sling...maybe... my quick trips to the store will be less painful.

The Peanut Shell Adjustable Sling in Vanilla Bean

I just don't have a baby obsession, but I also have a nail polish obsession. These colors are soo beautiful and perfect for Spring. I love Spring, my second favorite season, Fall being first.
Cool Romance Collection by Orly

Lately when I give Claire a bath, she gets a slight rash and then fades away, but always happens soon after a bath. I am going to switch it up. I heard good reviews on this body wash, so I will be ordering this very soon.

Itzy Ritzy Peek-A-Boo Pod

I could not find the one in leopard, (At least I managed to get the Ritzy Sitzy in Leopard) I am just going to find another print.

I have already purchased this adorable swimsuit in 6-12 months from Baby Gap. It was 30% off and you can get an additional 10% off if you show them your AAA membership card...who knew! I LOVE their baby collections....especially when they are on sale.

I hope I don't get stepped on ha! I have been eyeing on this handbag for a while, it's simple and stylish, just up my alley.

Leopard Print Obsessed

I been a little sick (cold) the last few days and not really taking any meds since I am nursing (and I am too lazy to go on safefetus.com to see what's safe to take) I am wearing a mask so I won't spread my germs around Claire. All I want to do is smother her with kisses, since she is smiling more and I don't think it's gas. Anywho, obviously I am not that sick if I am doing some on-line shopping. (since it hard to go out these days) Back to my obsession...I have been obsessed with leopard print since I have been a teenager. See, I even had a leopard themed birthday cake. This photo is from Nov 2010...but I also had one this last birthday.

So far I have purchased these baby items, I need a leopard intervention!

Yes another diaper bag, this is a Christmas present from Rolo...it's such a beautiful bag I am so afraid to use it, in fear my clusmy self might ruin it.
Felix Ray, Golden Child Diaper Bag

These booties are sooo cute I purchased these in 0-6 mos & 6-12 mos and I will purchase them in 12-18 mos. Claire will never grow out of them ha! They are from Baby Bella Maya

I been wanting to get a car seat canopy and when I saw this one in leopard, I knew I had to get it! I ordered it and I got an e-mail telling me it's out of stock and will longer no carry it. Heartbroken, (well not really) I found another site and re-ordered it along with the seat cover. I haven't gotten it yet, I am just hoping this site still has it...since I think this may be a discontinued print. Sad face. (I did get an e-mail saying it was sold out, but they did make it up by throwing in a free Reusable & Washable Snack Bag in Leopard, free shipping and cute packaging. I am sold!)

Ritzy Sitzy in Leopard

I took this photo of Rolo and Claire. The leopard sleeper was a gift from my sister-in-law. I love it soo much I would put it on her couple times a week. She has grown out of it and have been trying to find a bigger size with no luck! boo!

The obsession continues....

I am budget conscious person but when it comes to handbags/purses, now adding diaper bags to the list...the budget goes out the window. I went to Ross today, my goal was to just browse, yeah right! who was I kidding. I was "browsing" through the handbag section and I saw this beauty of a diaper bag, who knew they sold diaper bags. (It's Betsey Johnson, Be Mine Messenger Diaper Bag, and it comes with a bottle tote & diaper pad) I knew if I didn't get it, I would never see it again...so my obsession took over and bought it. At this rate, I am going to have a lifetime of diaper bags, so I better start making more babies, cause I not getting any younger...ummm... nevermind, maybe I should think about it a little more.

Two Months

Today Claire is two months. She had a routine doctors appointment (she is a whopping 10 lbs and 22 inches long) which included her first set of shots. I would like to say it didn't faze her, but it did. She has been fussy/crying since and it's heartbreaking. I gave her some Little Fevers (ok'd by her doctor) and is currently taking a long nap. Once she wakes up, we are going to cuddle, smother her with kisses and then I will give her a warm bath.

Natural Baby Solutions?

Sometimes it seems Claire has trouble breathing due to a stuffy nose, I tried using the nose aspirator they gave me at the hospital, but can not (for the life of me) figure it out. I have tried boogie wipes, saline spray, buying a smaller aspirator. Poor baby, I have been torturing her. I did a little research (there has to be a easier way) and came across the Nose Frida Snot Aspirator, it had great reviews and wanted to try it. I went to the local pharmacy and purchased it.

While I was there I also purchased "The Windi" it was next to the Nose Frida. (I believe it's from the same company) It totally caught my eye, it's a natural solution for colic...it's a little weird (and to be honest a little gross) but, I figured I would have it in case the the gripe water doesn't work. Oh! the joys of being a first time mom.

Diaper Bag Obsessed cont...

Couple days ago I ordered a diaper bag (Yes, another! I couldn't resist) by Petunia Pickle Bottom. I just got it today and I absolutely love it! It's the Wistful Weekender Diaper Bag in Daisy Dewdrops. I believe this print came out for Spring 2011 Collection, so they no longer sell this print on their official website. I googled it and many other sites still have it. Hooray for me!

It's pretty big and roomy, perfect for traveling....or for mommies that carry way too much stuff like me (I am trying to make my life easier by minimizing but I haven't been successful.) It comes with a wipe case, diaper pad, and a key holder. They also have a matching sashay satchel, which I am trying to resist...hey I might need the matching satchel!

Diaper Bag Obsessed

I have always been obsessed with handbags, but since having Claire, my handbags are sadly taking a break in my closet. My diaper bag has become my new purse/bag. I was looking for a diaper bag/s that did not look like one and was also practical, so when I went to Babies "R" Us (I am obsessed with that store) the Timi & Leslie's Charlie Bag in Tan caught my eye.

I instantly bought it, BTW I used a 20% off coupon which I was happy about, since the bag is a little pricey. I really like this bag, it soo big and roomy, (sometimes I have trouble finding things) maybe a little too big ...today I went to Ulta and my bag knocked down a display, talk about embarrasing! Ok, maybe I had something to do with it (I can be a little clumsy). It also has straps to hang from your stroller and another longer strap so you can wear hands-free across your body. At first I didn't know what the straps were for, yeah I am clueless FTM ,so I went to You Tube and sure enough there was a video on how to wear the bag. It also has a bottle tote, dirty clothes bag, changing pad (which I already lost) and a key holder. This is my go to bag, it's neutral and goes with everything, not like my other diaper bags. Yep, I have more than one diaper bag...and I can't promise I won't purchase anymore. Hey, I have to match them with my outfits.
